Repairers of the Breach

Isaiah 58:12 "...thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in."

Redeeming The Time

From beginning of the entrance of sin, it has always been God's desire to reach His people. The message of Christ to His people has always been the same. It was God's will that His people would come to a knowledge of Him. God gave methods in which the world could be reached. Throughout the history of the existence of God's people, we learn that they had a fourfold work. Beginning in the days of the Israelites, we understand that they had an priesthood or ministerial work (Ex 30:30; Num 3:3; Joel 2:17), an educational work (Josh 4:19-25; 2 Ki 2:3, 5, 7, 15), a health work (Ex 15:16; Lev 17:11), and a publishing work (Isa 11:10, 42:6). As we take the time to analyze the history of the Isrealite nation, the ministry of Jesus, the history of the Christian Church, and as well as the Seventh-day Adventist church, we will notice these four aspects of ministry.

In the life of Jesus we saw this perfect blend which brought success to His ministry. Although Jesus spent the majority of His time working amongst the Isrealites, He still had the same fourfold work in the proclamation of the gospel (Matt 4:23; 9:35; Mark 1:45). Jesus came to represent the true character of the God in heaven. He healed the sick (Matt 8:16; Mark 6:5, Luke 9:10-11), preached the gospel (Mark 3:14, 6:12, Luke 8:1), taught in synagogues (Matt 11:1, Mark 4:1, Luke 5:17), and as a result the truth was published throughout the land (Matt 9:31; Mark 1:28, Luke 8:39). Because Jesus blended this four-fold work His work on earth was accomplished (John 4:32-34; 17:3-4). At the end of Jesus life He could say it was finished, as it relates to His first coming (John 19:30).

When you study the book of Acts, we notice that the apostles of Jesus Christ also had this fourfold work of ministry. The ministers and apostles of Christ preached (Acts 4:2, 5:42, 13:5), taught (Acts 11:25-26; 13:1), healed (Acts 5:11-16; 19:10-12), and published (Acts 9:40-42; 19:9-10) the truth of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. As they combined these aspects of ministry, they saw the fruit of the laborers as many were joined to the church each day. The gospel was preached to the then known world through this four-fold work.

As you continue throughout the history of the Christian church, you will learn about the Waldensians. The Waldensians carried along this complete picture of doing the work that God had called us to do. To Waldensians combined preaching, teaching, healing, and publishing as they laboured for the Master. As a result of their labour they were able to spread the light of the gospel to those who were living in one ofthe darkest periods of the history of the world.

Our study through history eventually takes us to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Of course this movement would have similar characteristics of the other movements of the past that were led by God. The existence of God's true church can be seen through a study on the twelfth chapter of Revelation. From its beginning, Seventh-day Adventism consisted of itinerant preachers, who would travel and preach. The first publishing house was established as early as 1849. Ellen White received her first major health vision in 1863, and the first denomination school was established in 1872. These principles of ministry have been passed down to us (Rev 12), this is why we are truly the remnant of the seed (Rev 12:17). Thus we see how these four aspects that aid in the process of the preparing the world to meet Jesus.

In 1888, Satan saw that this four-fold work of Seventh-day Adventist just needed the righteousness of Christ as the chief cornerstone piece to finish the work. This is a main reason why Satan brought in the Alpha of Apostasy; it was to separate this work. Then Satan brought the Omega of Apostasy in to keep the work from being finished. "Living Temple contains the alpha of these theories. I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people." 1SM 203.  More information on the Alpha and Omega of Apostasy can be found here.

Each part of the work properly done, will result in Christ dwelling in the heart of the believers, rooted and grounded in love, and prepared to preach the three angels' message and receive the seal of God. Thus is the purpose of this website. To prepare for the work God has called them to do by combining preaching, teaching, and healing through the agency of the publishing work to spread a knowledge of God's Word to a dying world. Heaven is the goal to be achieved and desired above everything. Through its material, this website also exist to show how (1) to study God's Word, (2) to follow God's Word fully, (3) to have victory daily, and (4) to share God's Word with others. Seek to understand the principles behind Gospel Work, Medical Ministry, Education, and the Publishing Work, and God will guide you in studying the different books and topics of the Bible. In the different headings labeled preaching, teaching, or healing one will find resources in regard to how to properly reproduce these aspects of the work in their lives, schools, churches and more. May God bless us as we seek to come to a better knowledge of His Word. Click here to download a document that outlines last-day events.
